Brief Answer:
Cortisone injection is a standard procedure.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Cortisone injection given locally at the site of pain or bursitis are standard practice. If there is no improvement then either you can opt for blood injection( PRP) or go for surgical resection of Bursa.

As far as the work is concerned you can continue to work.
You can also try pain killers, hot fomentation and local application of analgesic gel before going for the next treatment.

Thanks for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
