How Can Severe Right-sided Abdominal Pain After An Adrenalectomy Be Treated?
Question: Surgery was July 21st, right adrenalectomy, ended up being open, after trying laparoscopic, total of 24 staples came out 31st. Aug 2nd first post op follow up Dr gave me a RX for Norco, because of the pain, had been using tramadol, and Aleve, but nothing is helping. Hurts to roll over, sit up, and taking a deep breath! Front right abdomen, no fever
Brief Answer:
Hw often and how much of Norco do you take?
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have reviewed your problem fully. I have come to the conclusion that your pain medications are not well adapted. Either the dosages are low or the frequency is less. I will like you to tell me how much you take at any moment and how often you take it. No matter what is going on, it is very important to make sure that the pain medications are well adapted.
Then, you need to have your abdomen reviewed just to make sure there is no related complication from surgery. This is unlikely in the absence of fever.
I hope to hear from you for more guidance. Also, let me know if you are on Tylenol or not.

Tramadol/Acetaminophen 5-325 mg erevy4-6 hrs Alene Am &hydrocodon/acetaminophen 5-325 mg every 6 hrs
Brief Answer:
This is pretty good!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This is pretty good. I will not suggest any changes to this at this time. All other possible changes involve change of medication which can only be done by your physician because these drugs are highly regulated.
Let me know how it goes after the evaluation. Try to stick to the lower 4hours interval. If pains do not regress, add 600mg of Ibuprofen every 8hours.
I await your updates.
