Dr. I have been taking 75 mg at night for sleep for the last 12 years.
This is the first time i have had a bad reaction. It has been going on
for a week. Loss of energy. I reduced the consumption to 0 last night.
This morning I lost my appetite too & weaker than before.

Brief Answer:
Follow up
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for follow up.
In my opinion you do not need to do anything special other than stopping the seroquel which is already done since last night. This is because the reaction have time limited impact.
You just need to focus on your work and ignore any serious reactions symptoms for some time till you recover. Paying more attention to the symptoms may increase your anxiety and so symptoms.
To conclude stopping the medication and not paying attention is the only action required at your end.
I hope this helps you.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for my future patients.

In the meantime should I take some for a better appetite?
Brief Answer:
Not necessary although Cyproheptadine can be used
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.
I do not think there is need to take anything for appetite as it is likely to recover in few days.
However if there is complete loss of appetite cyproheptadine can be used as appetite stimulant.
I hope this helps you further.
Thanks and regards.
