Question: I have no pain, but what feels like a slight blockage in my right sinus, and a clogged right ear. I have been told by my dentist that I have an abscess in my mouth, but since it is causing no symptoms, he sees no need to do anything at this time. What could this be?

Brief Answer:
Eustachian tube salpingitis

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

According to the description of yours, I presume, you could be having upper respiratory tract infection with blockage of the Eustachian tube (Eustachian tube Salpingitis).

You need to use xylometazoline nasal spray or drops in the nose to relieve the nasal and ear block. Steam inhalation could help you to recover faster. Also, drink frequent sips of warm water.

Regarding the abscess, if it is a swelling with sterile contents, then, aspiration of the same would be appropriate.

Hope this answers your questions; I’ll be available for the follow up queries.
