Brief Answer:
Several reasons explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for asking at healthcaremagic.

I carefully read your question and understand your concern.

Swelling of legs and feet can happen for different reasons.
A very common one is the heart. Sometimes pressures in the heart are transmitted back in the veins of the leg and cause swelling. You will need to have a visit with your doctor and also have some basic examinations including a heart ultrasound and ECG.

Another reason would be the kidneys. If we loose too much protein with urine than fluids go in our tissues and cause swelling. In this case you might also notice the face to be swollen in the morning other than swollen legs. To rule this out you will need some blood tests like urea and creatinine, BUN and also simple urinalysis and 24 hour proteinuria.

Some medications might also cause legs to swell. Most often this happens with calcium channel blockers like amlodipine, adalat used for hypertension.

Thyroid when not functioning well can cause swelling of legs and feet so having a TSH done is good to rule it out.

If you have skin redness or krssiond on your legs than skin infections should be considered.

I hope this is helpful and answers to your questions but please feel free to reply if anymore clarifications are needed on this.

Kind regards
