Brief Answer:
Please attach chest CT

Hello and welcome in Ask the Doctor
I am sorry for your situation.
It's possible bronchectasis to have a rapid decline. It mostly depends on the spread of bronchectasis (bilaterally or in one lung), the prior lung function status (Spirometry test values and arterial blood gases). If the bronchectasis is extended accompanied with lung fibrosis than this is a bad sign too.
Nevertheless a viral situation might worsens the lung situation ,also heart problems not in equilibrium .
However if you have already done a chest CT and a Spirometry test just attach the results to me and I can explain more exactly your situation.

Thank you for your information. I had CT scan and all other breathing tests you mentioned. I just do not have copies to attach to you. I believe the rapid decline could be due to a delay in this diagnosis. Then symptoms warranted more testing. I am identifying my decline because I need to now use a nebulizer only 8 weeks after diagnosis. It is possible that I may have had this condition for a longer time. I have no other questions. Thank you again.
Brief Answer:
Please start an inhaler
Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
I'd recommend you that after getting better and after having stopped nebulizer, start immediately an inhaler continuously. The type should be decided by your doctor considering pulmonary function tests results.
I wish you good health.
