How Can Vaginal Itching And Burning Sensations Be Treated After Yeast Infection Treatment?
Question: I had a yeast infectiom however it went away but im.still suffering with a burning sensation and itchness but doesnt burn when i pee ot only burns after a shower what do you recommend that i should do to get rid of the burning sensation ?
Brief Answer:
Injured the urethra
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
i have seen many patients in clinic who complain this after treatment. Because of earlier yeast infection and itch there is a heavy scratching leading to reupture of mucosa or injury to urethral epithelium. Also the treatment leads to dryness of the areas causing more burning.
I suggest sitz baths with plain cold water. I suggest good vaginal moisturizer to be applied which can balance pH. This would take care in couple of days.
