Question : Hi Dr.,
I may or may have not done something when I was 12 years. I simply can't remember. My question is this. When I was a young boy around 12 years old I may or may not have sexually abused a cousin. I can't remember if I did or not. There was a lot of porn in my household growing up as a kid. How do I work through this? What do I do? I can't remember.

I am glad to know that you want to address a thought which is haunting you for a long time.

I must inform you that at 12 years of age we develop analytical skills and lot of memory skills so chances of sexual abuse of cousin without entering in your memory is not possible. The possibility can be discarded completely provided you do not remember anything in reference to this haunting thought.

I also like to inform you that such encounters are registered in long term memory and vanishing of such events from memory is remote possibility.
