Brief Answer:
Blood sugar controll

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Its not just being diabetic matters here. Its the blood sugar control. Patients with good glycemic control can have successful treatment and ones which poor control can end up with unsuccessful treatment or relapse in the future.

The treatment course remains the same in diabetic and non diabetic. Its the glycemia which determines the outcome.

If in long-term diabetic which micro/ macrovascular complications already set in, the success of TB treatment matters on which end-organ damage is established. The clearance of medications, contraindications, toxicities etc an be one of the causes of treatment failure if the organs involved are damaged due to diabetes no matter the glycemic control.

Hope, I answered your query.

Please do ask if any doubts
