Brief Answer:
Acyclovir should be started, can share the same room

Detailed Answer:
Hello

I have gone through the details and do understand your concern.
As the rash has appeared today only I would like to start acyclovir an antiviral. The acyclovir should be started within 24 hours of appearance of rash.Acyclovir decreases the complication like pneumonia, brain infection etc.
It is a prescription medicine so please get it prescribed by a pediatrician.
As both mother and baby are infected with chicken pox, they can share the same room.
Continue atarax (hydroxyzine an antiallergic)and calpol as advised.
I hope this helps.
I shall be glad to answer if you have any more doubts.
Regards
