Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Reduction of medicines results in mild withdrawal even if slow tapering is dose. But the symptoms like insomnia, agitation, reduced energy, low mood, sexual dysfunction could be occurring due to mild depression too. This could be a relapse of depression which is resulting in these symptoms.
You should focus more on your CBT since your doctor wants to reduce the doses of the medicines. Take diets rich in omega-3-fatty acids, vitamin B12 which will help in the improvement of mood and also general health. Meditation will help.
Take high protein diets and low in complex carbohydrates which will help in quick recovery.

Dose reduction should be slow.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Sleep and energy level will improve once your depression symptoms will go. These symptoms are not due to any other reason.
Yes, you can reduce the dose of Venlafaxine slowly to reduce the withdrawal symptoms. From regular 150 mg dose, the tapering should be done over 6-10 weeks. The dose should be reduced by 25-50 mg every two weeks and at the end of 6-10 weeks doses can be stopped completely. The dose reduction in this manner will not cause withdrawal symptoms.
