How Do You Feel After An Epley Maneuver For BPPV?
May get vertigo during procedure
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using Healthcaremagic .
The Epley maneuver is exercise used to treat benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). A single 10- to 15-minute session usually is all that is needed.
When your head is firmly moved into different positions, the debris causing vertigo will slip out of the semicircular canal into an area of the inner ear where it will no longer cause symptoms.
During this maneuver as that collected debris move in canal in ear, which can result in attack of vertigo in few subjects , so you need to rest till that attack stops. Once it moves out of canal you no longer get vertigo.
