Brief Answer:
Possible diagnosis: Genital herpes

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

The image shows redness and initial stages of blister formation on the penis. Such penile rashes along with itching are concerning for genital herpes.

Physical examination, tzanck smear analysis can confirm the diagnosis. Treatment with antiviral medication like acyclovir can reduce the severity, duration, and recurrence of the infection.
You can also take cetirizine to relieve the itching. Keep the genital area clean and dry. Use condoms to prevent transmission of infection.

If herpes is confirmed, testing for other sexually transmitted infections is also important.

Another condition that can mimic these symptoms is contact dermatitis, which can occur in reaction to exposure to allergen/trigger.

Please be advised to follow up with your primary provider for necessary evaluation.

Hope this answers your question.

Please let me know if you need further clarification.

Brief Answer:
Itching can be the predominant symptom.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Pain is not necessarily seen in all individuals with herpes. Itching and rashes (blisters mostly) alone without pain is a common presentation of genital herpes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
HSV 2 usually causes genital herpes

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Genital herpes is caused by Herpes simplex virus 2. HSV 2 virus has a predisposition to cause genital infection. It may necessarily not cause oral lesion even if your oral mucosa came in contact. So the absence of oral lesion is not completely reassuring, unfortunately.

Hope I have answered your query.
