Propranolol can help with palpitations and tremors that can occur in some persons with anxiety but it would not reduce the anxiety .
There are medications that are specifically used to treat anxiety. Some of these are sertraline, paroxetine, fluoxetine, citalopram, bupropion, escitalopram.
The propranolol would normally be used in combination with one of these anti anxiety medications.

Hi
I do councelling for anxiety but used to get a lot of physical anxiety but i have recently started propranolol and it seems to control my heartbeat and makes me feel better. With the tablet my blood pressure is 113/68 pulse 67 last week blood pressure would be 138/88 pulse 82. I worry alot my councelling helps overcome that and this tablet for physical symptoms? Is this a good tablet? Does it cause bad side effects? Is the tablet normally used for heart issues

I have had ECG were all tests come normal i dont want this medication to cause issue with good heart?
