Brief Answer:
oral chemotherapy

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Your step dad is suffering from stage 4 tumour of the intestine.

The spots on his liver shows the tumour has already spread to his liver from the intestine.

THe square pale yellow pill and the other 8 sided oblong white pill are oral chemotherapy drugs.

These drugs help to kill the cancer cells.

He has to take the pills for atleast 3 cycles at 21 days interval followed by reassessment.

The side effects of these medications are diarrhea and vomiting.
