Brief Answer:
Symptoms of elevated BP

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Lisinopril is used for two purposes, one for hypertension and other in heart failure, where heart function is low.
If it's used for hypertension then after stopping it, blood pressure will rise and one may get high BP and subsequently uneasiness, headaches, tremors or may not be any symptoms. And there are many alternatives to lisinopril for this use like losartan, valsartan, calcium channel blockers like cilinidipine, amlodipine, beta blockers like Metoprolol etc.

However, when it is used in patients with low heart function, then alternative is either other drug from same class like ramipril or angiotensin receptor blocker like valsartan, losartan etc. Here, stopping will not cause any symptoms immediately, but over a period of months to years, heart function may go down leading to various symptoms like shortness of breath, pedal edema etc.

Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.
