Brief Answer:
Inflammation and eliminating bacterial flora

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns.

Urethral tissue damage predispose to UTI by two main mechanisms. The first is by inducing inflammation which in turn produces an inflammatory exudate which is a very good medium for bacterial growth. The other mechanism is by eliminating the normal bacterial flora which normally occupies the place to prevent pathogenic bacterial invasion..

I hope you find this helpful..
