As a suitable alternative, I generally recommend my patients oral tablets of LONOX(combination of atropine and diphenoxylate).Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe this drug to you.
This drug has an excellent action in controlling loose stool.
Please make sure to get a complete stool analysis before taking this drug.In case infection is detected on stool test an additional course of antibiotics may be needed.
