How Effective Is Plan B In Preventing Pregnancy?
Question: Hi,
How effective is Plan B? I took the pill within 4 hours of unprotected entry (the man did not ejaculate and was inside of me for maybe 12 seconds).
I have been having irregular periods (twice a month) and should start my period this coming weekend. My breast feel tender, I have to urinate more frequently, and have stomach slight abdominal discomfort. Because I am so close to my next period date would a urine pregnancy test be accurate?
Also, I took a fertility test the morning after and it said that my fertility rate was low.

Hi XXXXXXX I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. As per our communication earlier, plan B is effective in preventing pregnancy in 95% cases if taken within24 hours of unprotected intercourse.
If your fertility indicator shows low fertility, then chances of conception are low.
Tender engorged breasts, frequent urination and heaviness in lower abdomen can be due to premenstrual symptoms, as symptoms of pregnancy will not occur so early.
You can take a urine pregnancy test only once your expected periods are delayed.
