Brief Answer:
Supportive care

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Steroid injections helps the inflammation caused by degenerative knees and also help relief of inflammation. So i would say it helps the degenerative process. However age related articular arthralgia is not treatable and just manageable and an tiinflamatory medications like steroid injections is one of the palliative care. Its giving you a pain free window where with mobility and strengthening exercises can make sure the kness get stable and stronger. Additional dietary supplements, calcium and vitamin D intake, bisphosphonates etc will help too.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
