You could be a MRSA carrier with nasal colonisation. This is the only way you can spread it to your wife. Your spinal and bone MRSA cannot be directly transmitted unless there is a sinus with discharge and that discharge comes in contact with her.
There is a simple solution for nasal carrier status. You can use mupirocin antibiotic as a topical ointment in the nose twice a day for 5 days. This will eradicate MRSA from your nose. Rules of the website prevent me from prescribing a particular drug. Also you should wash your hands before touching her.
