Posted on Mon, 5 Oct 2015
Question: Just got up this morning and took a shower when I noticed this spot by my thigh. Doesnt reall itch, not very big, just more like an ingrown hair. What do you think it is? Anytime I see something around my privates I get concerned, is this nothing, or should I worry about it? Again, no itching, just a spot like an ingrown hair almost.

Brief Answer:
nothing

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
It looks like ingrown hair or so called folicullitis so you dont have to be worried at all. This is minor subcutaneus inflammation and you should apply antibiotic ointment and mild steroid cream for 2-3 days and nothing else.Keep area clean and dry. If there will be progression, you should see doctor and start with antibiotics but at this point this is definitely not required. Wish you good health. Regards

Just another question, unrelated then. I also notice when I get an erection, either masturbating or before sex, that the skinunderneath the rim of my penis gets a lttle dry and skin begins to flake a little. This only happens when I get hard though. Does not itch or anything, just a little dry skin. What causes that and what can I do to moisten it up to not do that.

Brief Answer:
dermatosis

Detailed Answer:
it may be some dermatosis XXXXXXX to allergic reaction to shower gel or soap or seborrhoic dermatitis. In some cases it can be sign of psoriasis but you would have similar changes in other part of body. You should apply some nistatine cream of similar antifungal/steroid cream for 5-6 days and see will it improve

So I now have also noticed a very faint tiny spot on my penis head. Almost pinkish, not raised or anything, not itchy, no symptoms at all. Just not normal I guess. Have had this several times in the past, does not spread or anything, then it goes away after a couple of days. Anything to be worried about. Why does this happen

Brief Answer:
no need to worry

Detailed Answer:
Penis head is made of cevrnous tissue and it means that this is like sponge that is filled with partially venou sor arerial blood. ALso, it has different amount of pigment and colour depends from man to man. Penis head colour, discoloration, pigmentation, blood amount is variable and may change from time to time. This is nothing worrying especially if there is no pain, penis discharge or fever Wish you good health. Regards
