How Is Measles Treated In An Infant After Administering MMR Vaccine?

Question: My 9 month old son is suffering from measles since last two days. He was administered MMR vaccine about 20 days ago. We are very much worried.. kindly help us with precious advice..

Regarding vaccine induced measles

Hello. Thank you.
I am Dr kakkar (Dermatologist and Venereologist). Some children may develop a mild form of measles, a few days of vaccination since the MMR vaccine is a live though attenuated virus. I suggest you to give just symptomatic treatment e.g a soothing lotion ( Calamine lotion) for the skin rash and paracetamol for fever, if any. The episode should subside in a few days.

There is no specific diet recommendations or restrictions. You may give anything which you used to give earlier. Soft/semisolid food items like XXXXXXX Curd, Banana, Pulses, soups etc
