How Is Multiple Myeloma Diagnosed?

Question: Hi - you answered questions for me earlier about multiple myeloma. Your answers were right on. I have seen a hematologist at Stanford, and after more blood tests, he sent me a message stating that a bone marrow biopsy was not necessary. The info seen on the CT scan and MRI was not sufficient for a multiple myeloma diagnosis, and that they were a "red herring." However he told my doctor to follow up in 6 months or so with another MRI. I am devastated as I thought that I was in the clear!!!

I guess I forgot to ask my question. Although the hemotologist said the issue would be determined by the results of the blood test. However now it looks like I'm really not in the clear! How long do I have to fear that I have multiple myeloma?
Brief Answer:
You don't seem to have myeloma
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear.
Just relax. You don't seem to have myeloma. No need to fear. Chances of myeloma on repeat MRI are practically nil.
Thanks and regards
