How Is Pseudo-gout Treated?
Question: How is puseo gout treated? My Dr told me I have crystals in my joints which causes pain in my knees, hips, etc.
Brief Answer:
Symptomatic management
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Yes, pseudo gout can be treated with symptomatic management but unfortunately cannot be cured.
We may have to find out underlying cause for the calcium pyrophosphate crystal deposition in the joints. The deposition of the calcium crystals happen when there is excess calcium in the blood or when there is pre-existing joint disease.
I would like to see reports of tests done recently. Kindly attach if you have any especially serum calcium levels.
Waiting for your response.
