Question: Hello, I recently had an ovarian cystectomy via laparotomy. I have a vacation to disney world booked and was wondering how long I should wait before riding a roller coaster.

If a laparotomy then the wound heals by 6 weeks , but if you intend to enjoy something like a roller coaster ride, then it would be best to avoid for at least 6 months post surgery as remodelling and strengthening of the scar takes time.
