How Long After An Abortion Is Pregnancy Advisable?
Question: Hello,
On Monday the 1st of February I had a D&C procedure due to a baby that had stopped growing at 6 weeks and had no heartbeat at my 8 week ultrasound. I was wondering wether this miscarriage affects my future rates of having a miscarriage once again and when I could start trying again.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
NO risk for future miscarriage at present
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Single miscarriage does not affect future pregnancy or risk of miscarriage. In case of 2 or more miscarriages, investigation required for cause.
You can again try for pregnancy after a gap of 6-8 weeks.
Take folic acid supplements during this period.
Avoid any drugs and alcohol.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
