How Long Can Ecosprin Be Taken During Pregnancy?
Need more information.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us about it.
Congratulation on your pregnancy.
Normally a low dose aspirin can be given during pregnancy to prevent pre-eclampsia and eclampsia if there is a history of hypertension.
It can also be given in patient with history of blood disorder and antiphospholipid syndrome to prevent pregnancy loss.
It is not advisable in the last trimester of gestation because it can cause the fetal Cardiovascular disorder (closure of ducts arteriosus) and affect fetal and maternal hemostasis and cause increased maternal bleeding.
But if your doctor suggested it there may be some reason behind it.
Hence whether you should continue it or not depend upon your medical history.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
Good luck.
Regards
Dr.Richa
