Question: How long do side effects of prednisone last? I was on 60 mg of prednisone for 10 days, then 50 for 3 days, then 40 for two, and then had to stop due to insane anxiety and insomnia. I did not finish the taper as my doctor told me to stop taking them. Its been a month and I still feel off and super anxious. Will this go away?

You are having cortisone withdrawal persistence of symptoms.

You can wait for few weeks. It will go away by it's own. Sometime prednisone side effects after withdrawal can persist for few weeks. Don't worry about that.

Practice yoga and meditation for early recovery.
Regular exercise also advisable.
