How Long Does Bacigyl N Syrup Take To Shoe Effect?
Do not worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your concerns but don't worry. The most likely reason for these symptoms in infancy is viral gastroenteritis. It's a self limiting illness and it usually improves in a few days. There is no role of antibiotics such as becigyl in treatment unless and until blood and/or mucus is present present in poops.
So, I would recommend you the following measures for early relief:
- Hold Becigyl
- continue with enterogermina. It's a probiotic and will help in restoring healthy gut flora.
- You may give flavoured ORS such as Walyte if your baby is not accepting normal ORS. Avoid plain water for relief if the water loss is significant.
- Give Zinc supplement such as Zinconia or Zn 20 (5 ml once daily for 14 days). This helps in early recovery and gives immunity against similar episodes in coming few months.
- You may give Racecadotril granules (10mg thrice daily) if poops are very watery and frequent.
Hopefully it will be of help.
Take care

Give plain water if poops are not watery and frequent
Detailed Answer:
Hi
You may give plain water if the poops are not too watery and frequent. You may give soups, lemonade and buttermilk as well. ORS has ideal concentration of sodium and potassium which is very important to replenish if the poops become watery and too frequent.
Hold wheat products and continue other complementary foods at present. Reintroduce wheat once the episode completely improves.
Teething is normal event which is usually associated with mouthing and biting urge in babies. This can lead to infections. So, try to maintain clean surrounding, regular hand washing and hygeinic diet.
Weather changes can flare up these infections.
I do maintain hygiene
Thanks, I will follow everything above.

Hi
If she was taking wheat chapati since long, then wheat can be continued as well. It's an unlikely reason for the acute episode.
I would be happy to help you in any further questions. If you have no questions at present then you may rate the answers, write a review and close this discussion.
