How Long Does Depo-Provera Injection Take To Show Effect?

Question: hi, I just wondering when will depo shot take effect. my c section was XXXXXXX 23rd, postpartum check up was Feb 28th, and I got the shot this morning

Firstly I will need to know if periods have come or not after cesarean section?!
Do you breastfeed?!
If your periods haven't come yet than depo shot is effective at the first day.
If periods have come start of effectiveness of depo shot vary from the day of your periods.
If you have been on the first day of your periods than you are protected.
If depo shot is done in the other days of your menstrual cycle than you are not protected on the first seven days .

No, Bleeding after C section isn't considered as period.
