How Long Does HCG Remain In The Blood Stream After Administration?

default
Posted on Thu, 2 Jun 2016
Question: It has been 7 weeks since my last menstrual cycle and I began an HCG diet with sublingual tabs on 3/22. On 3/28 I tested positive for pregnancy and have stopped taking the tablets since that time. As of this morning, I tested positive for pregnancy. I also have very tender breasts and have had unexplained insomnia and fatigue over the last three weeks. How long will the HCG stay in my blood stream and potentially impact the pregnancy test?

Brief Answer:
Usually 3-4 days.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting hcm about your health care. I have gone through your history and understood your concern.
Usually hcg remain 3-4 days in blood stream after administration.
But in your case your pregnancy test is positive after 3-4 days,so it is most likely due to pregnancy.
Get your beta hcg testing to confirm pregnancy and if hcg hormone levels more than 3000 then get your ultrasound to see the gestational sac.
Hope found useful, feel free to discuss more information.
Good luck.
