How Long Does Marijuana Remain In The System?

varies.
Detailed Answer:
Marijuana slowly goes INTO the deep tissues (fat deposits). If it is a one time use of a small amount of marijuana, this factor/accumulation in fat/deep tissue compartment just doesn't matter. Not enough goes in with one use to matter. Then, marijuana goes out after about a week after one use. WIth a lot of use for a long period of time, marijuana metabolites build up to a considerable amount in fat. It certainly takes a month for most of it to come out and in some circumstances could take even more than 2 months to totally clear the urine.
On flushing it out. It is pretty obvious we are talking about an oily substance. Just drinking a bit more water is not going to take oily deposits out any more than you can wash a grease stain out of a tie with a bit of water. If the urine is 30% more dilute, the test will have 30% less drug to detect....you can make the assay have to work slightly harder. On the other hand, the test always shows how dilute the urine is. FIrst, it definitely will show if you are trying to hide things by drinking more water. It WILL look suspicious. Second, if the urine is too diluted it will just be thrown out as unreliable and another specimen will either be required or it test will be presumed guilty.
There isn't great ways to change the urine.

essentially no.
Detailed Answer:
If you are a very heavy smoker it is going to be detected. If all you did was 1-2 uses about 1x a week, likely to be negative if no use in 2 weeks.

varies tremendously

It's all over the map with the rare person detectable over 80 days. Average in daily users was about 2 weeks. there were some detected over a month, but that was less than 25%.
So... if it were 3 months til the testing it would be nearly 100% likely to be negative. at 2 months 80-90% likely to be negative it seems. At 1 month only slightly more... so..... about a 3 in 4 chance test is going to be negative.
