How Long Does Marijuana Stay In Our System After Consuming It?

Question: I have smoked Marijuana over the course of my pregnancy. Not daily. But it has helped with a lot of things when I have and also it seems to be out of my system pretty quickly since I'm not smoking a ton when I do. 3-5 days without really trying. My induction date is in 16 days and I am worried that it's going to be in my baby's system. I was honest with my doctor at the beginning of my pregnancy so I know she will be testing the baby. If it's out of my system will it be out of the baby's? This wasn't stressing me out until recently when I've read a lot of confusing answers and contradictions online.
Brief Answer:
hi and welcome
Detailed Answer:
First,as a doctor I need to highlight that marijuana use during pregnancy may be harmful for babies development and may have serious effect especially in first trimester. It can't be determined the exact period in which will it be detectable in baby after born. It depends on your and babies metabolism. But if there was not excessive use of marijuana then it should be cleared up from your system within 7-10 days and from babies system within 14 days. But more important then testing is that baby is healthy and that labor goes well since you 've increased risk of pregnancy complications. Wish you good health. Regards
