Brief Answer:
Usually 2-3 days

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Opioids will continue to show their clinical effect in the new born baby up to 3-4 days for sleepiness while other symptoms might take up to 7 days to recover after delivery.

Many birth defects, preterm delivery and altered fetal growth are seen if baby if mother consumes opioids during pregnancy.
Before delivery it takes 2-3 weeks to opioids to reduce significantly in babies system.
