Question: How long would 10mg of propanolol be detectable in a blood test?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Sassen S Kwasa (41 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Depending on your metabolism it can be detected upto about 24 hours

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM. The half life of propranolol is 8-10 hours, meaning half of the medication will be out of your system by 24 hours. Please note that other medications and foods may interfere with this elimination as the propanalol is eliminated by the cytochrome P450 system, which is altered by grape fruit, rifampin, antifungals, and antibiotics. I hope this answers your question. Good luck and feel free to direct any more questions to me.
