Question: A Doctor told to my mother that, she is having fungal infection in her mouth. He also told that , she may need to continue medicines for at least 1 year. is it true?

Fungal infections are very difficult to treat. And they take upto a year to treat. Does she have any underlying problems like diabetes, immunocompromise?
