Question: Hello doc..my son is 1.4m old..he was passing watery 6-7 motion weak b4...then started giving macpod 100, 3ml , twice a day for 7 days....nd now his no. Of motions is same with semi nd green in color with sometimes blood also...den got his stool test done...which shows pus cells by 8-10....which is after continuing this medicine came dwn by 6-8 pus cells nd with fever of 99.5... ...........So my question is am i giving him the right medication and how much longer it will take him to recover..nd is nothing serious to worry about...... waiting eagerly for your precious reply...

Hi

Loose motion in infants take longer time to heal ( normally 10-14 days). Many a times infection gets cured but loose motions continue. If he passes 6-7 motions per day/good urine output/good activity/no fever/feeding well then don't worry. Medicines given by your doctor are correct.
