Brief Answer:
This can be delayed healing may be due to open fracture fixation and osteop

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Mr XXXXXXX

Thanks for writing to us,

I have studied your case with diligence.

This can be delayed healing may be due to open fracture fixation and osteoporosis due to polio.
Other reasons can be poor bone stock.
You may enhance healing by calcium, vit D, cissuss quadragularis, and matrix therapy.
Non weight bearing for few weeks is very important .And physiotherapy in form of CPM [continuous passive motion] can be started later.

If no healing callus and union after 6 months then you may need bone grafting.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
