Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
Based on the level of the raised liver enzymes it takes between 2 to 8 weeks for the the liver enzymes to get back to the normal state provided the patient stops consuming alcohol
I usually repeat the liver enzymes alternate days initially and then once a week once the enzymes are showing a decreasing trend

what is the normal level and what is considered dangerous ?
how much alcohol would affect the results after no alcohol had been consumed any for a while ?
I am thinking its my birthday soon and I am going out for a meal with friends, could I have 3 glasses of house white wine or would this be detrimental, knowing that I was consuming too much and done so well. I don't even miss alcohol from my daily routine.
are b12 complex vitamins and thiamine tablets good for helping the liver to repair / improve ?

Since there are several questions I will answer them one by one.
1. Normal levels is when SGOT and SGPT are below 50. total bilirubin should be less than 1.2. It is dangerous and requires evaluation if it raises more than 3 times
2. Liver enzymes tends to increase when more than 120g of alcohol is consumed everyday
3. Even a single glass of wine will be detrimental if the liver enzymes are elevated. I strongly recommend you to avoid alcohol
4. I am happy you dont miss alcohol
5. Thiamine and liver enzymes will help repair the liver. Vit b complex will help replenish the lost vitamins due to alcohol.
I hope I was clear, please get back to me if you have any further doubts
