How Long Does It Take To Recover After A Brain Stroke?

Question: age - 72
gender-female

-- diabetic
-- once had brain stroke 22yrs back (initially got fits and went to choma for 2 days and after 6 months she lost her eye vision. got treated for couple of months.

on march 13th she was re attacked with brain strock again.Baisc symtom is lost of eye vision.

she was hospitalized for 22 days. treated with TPA.

she is now under medication at home.

attached her MRI scan and recent CT scan.

at home intial days she recovered and started talking and recoginising us. after that she stoped talking.

realized that her sodium is low then treated for that.its almost 2 months by may 13th. but is not talking now.
she is giving physiotherapy dialy and alfa bed is being used.
attached her MRI/CT /mediciens using.

queries :
1) when she will recovered
2)when can we expect her talking.
3)does the dosage of medicines we are using need to be increased ?
4) any changes or new medicines recommanded?
5)what diet we can give her as she is diabetic.

Hello sir,
if you remeber , i bring my mom to you on day one, you have recommanded MRI at focus as appolo slots are over for that day on emergency basis. Based on the raidologist info you have given us med on phone.

midnight as she got fits we took her to XXXXXXX XXXXXXX hospital.

she is with tube in nose for dite. and urinary tube.

she is frequently suffering from flum. we are using nebalization with livopil and mucomix suggusted by our doc. but still its not cured. can you recommand any thing else for this?

what is rate of success of curing brain strock at 70+ age ? will she be normal and back to her activities as she is earlier ?

and came to know from CT that my mother brain got shrink. with the given medience will be get to normal ?

Thank you for getting back with more information. Yes, I remember very well.

It is difficult for a 70+ person to recover after a brain stroke, however, we can expect improvement.

As of now, she needs good nursing care, physiotherapy, good feeding by tube and care by an expert physician for lung infection.

She is getting good medicines and no additional medicines are needed from neurology point of view.
