Brief Answer:
Your vertebral body is broken and compressed.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

A compression fracture of vertebra takes 6-8 weeks to heal. It means that the body of the vertebra has broken and has got compressed due to the pressure. To stop the pain, OTC medicines will not help you much as there are mild pain killers. You need stronger pain killers like Tramadol and oral muscle relaxants that are available on prescription.
You need a back brace. Only injection will not help. Once the bone heals, the pain will go away.

I hope this answers your query.
