How Long Does Recovery From Jaundice Take?
Further details required
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through your query. However, I need to know the underlying cause for your jaundice. Jaundice can be due infective viral cause, due to autoimmune cause, due to chronic liver injury caused due to alcohol, due to biliary obstruction, among many other causes. If you could mention the probable cause, I could guide you with whether you need to worry. Chances are that you do not need to worry.
Taking supplements would not make the situation better. Please mention which supplements you are taking and I can guide you accordingly. If you are taling about whey, arginine etc. they are not essential and would not help with your jaundice.
Vitamin D depot preparations like Inj. Arachitol 3 lakh units intramuscularly once monthly for three such would be advisable.
I would await your response.

Not a cause for concern.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back and for clarifying. You may continue with DRISE capsules since you are already on it. No further investigation suggested. I would need to ask you the specific reason for your taking Whey and other supplements.
The report does not seem concerning. Since you had jaundice, possibly it is in the resolving stage and therefore the slight elevation in bilirubin does not seem to be a cause of concern.

Calculative protein intake should suffice
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. Passing bowels 3-4 times a day does not make you a patient of irritable bowel syndrome, but anyway. You do not need any treatment for the same. Regular exercise with a proper protein to carbohydrate ratio in your diet is more important than taking supplements. Frankly speaking, the benefits of taking those supplements is not good enough to justify taking them. 2.2 g of protein per kg of body weight per day has been a bodybuilding rule of thumb for decades. Higher levels of protein intake, usually in the range of 2.6 – 3.3 g per kg of body weight per day, are commonly recommended when “cutting” to lose fat.
