I have been cured from typhoid almost 3 weeks, but when went for badminton last Sunday then in the evening itself I was feeling little feverish and tired. So should I refrain myself from playing?
Brief Answer:
some cases upto 6 - 8 weeks...
Detailed Answer:
In some cases, recovery period can extend upto 6-8 weeks.
Duration of recovery period all depends on severity of infection, hydration and nutrition status during infection / hospitalisation. As long as you don't develop fever, vomiting and loose stools, we should not be worried about typhoid recurrence.
At this point, I will suggest you to rest. Drink plenty of fluids. Add fruits, vegetables as well as multivitamin pills. Do monitor your temperature. Report back to the doctor if temperature reaches 100 deg F.
