How Long Does The Bleeding After A Cervical Polyp Removal Last?
Question: Hi. I had a cervical polyp removal about three days ago. For the first day, there was no bleeding. Now I am getting mainly brown bleeding which is like a light to middle period. How long should the bleeding last?
Brief Answer:
Mild bleeding can persist for upto 2 weeks.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
After a polyp removal it is normal to have mild bleeding till the wound heals. The light brownish spotting can sometimes persist for up to 2 weeks. You need not to worry.
Avoid having intercourse or any strenuous exercise. This bleeding is likely to subside on its own in next few days.
Do consult your gynecologist in case the bleeding is heavy or persistent.
I hope this answers your query.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
