Brief Answer:
it's important to know what type of screening is going to happen...

Detailed Answer:
Hello there,
Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service...
I've gone through your query and understand your concerns...

First of all, please note that cocaine and its metabolites (by-products) get eliminated from different ways, hence there are several different types of screening i.e. Urine, Blood, Saliva, Sweat and Hair.

Now, the time period of detection and elimination is different based on how much amount is being used, for how long, and the purity of the substance. In the case of chronic users, the metabolites tend to get accumulated in the body systems thus take longer to eliminate.

Below I'm mentioning the average time period of detection for your convenience:

Urine - 2-3 days (or 2-3 weeks in case of chronic users)
Blood - 12-48 hours
Saliva - 12-48 hours
Sweat - several weeks
Hair - a few months to years

So, as you see, it's important to know what type of screening test is going to be used as the detection time period depends on it directly...

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take Care
Kind Regards

What do you consider chronic? It’s a urine screen and usage is 2 - 3 time a month 2-3 grams - purity in a scale of 1 - 10 / 10 being high purity - I would suspect its a 5 or less

Thank you

2-3 grams total for the month.

Brief Answer:
I'd explain as follows...

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,
Thanks for the details...

If you're using for at least 6months, along with these details, then I'd consider you as a chronic user (even though alcohol use isn't regular, still it can prolong the excretion of the metabolites of cocaine even further)...

If you're using less than 6 consecutive months, I'd consider you as an infrequent user (the screening time period of infrequent and chronic are almost the same).

Acute/Binge users are those who only use it once in their lifetime/once in a few years. So that's out of the discussion here.

So, to summarize, taking consideration of 25lbs overweight and all other factors, I'd say at least 45days of a complete drug-free period (devoid of any alcohol also) along with plenty of water, fresh fruits and vegetables, salads, organic antioxidant-rich diet would be helpful to flush out the toxins quickly (for the urine screening test).

Even if I’ve passed 2 home tests which claim 99.9% accuracy and a rapid screen from a local
Lab that also passed?

Brief Answer:
I'd suspect the purity could be much much lesser in that case...

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,

Please note home tests are done through rapid methods, and their results can be highly debatable. When considering the home test, you should choose the strips having test sensitivity of 100ng/mL (the most accurate ones). Still, they can't be termed concrete in terms of the result, simply because of the rapid and dip-stick type methods.

In that case, if we consider these tests to be accurate, I've to say the purity could be somewhere between 2-2.5/10...

However, rapid tests aren't used in detailed and targeted screening purposes, so for further screening, I'd suggest giving the Urine sample again to a certified lab for detailed toxicological analysis (not rapid screening).

Moreover, risking in this scenario can only jeopardise this further, so the standard recommendations remain the same as already explained.

Take Care
Kind Regards
