How Long It Take For Dark Circles To Disappear While Taking Rest After A Concussion?
Question: Hello. i had a concussion almost two weeks ago and i am experiencing just about every side effect there is. i went to a neurologist and had an MRI. Fortunately, it appears that I don't have anything pressing on my brain so my treatment plan to stay in bed, etc.
i know this is very vain---and quite frankly, I am embarrassed that this is such a concern. Dark circles have suddenly appeared under my eyes.
Do you think this will go away in time? And how long will it take? I know you cannot know for sure--but an estimate would be nice. Is this a symptom of a concussion?
Thank you. I am grateful for this website.

Brief Answer:
Should go away as your body recovers.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You need not worry about the dark circles. They occur when the body's stores are depleted. They are not directly related to the concussion. They will go away once your body recovers. It should take a few weeks at least. You need not worry about them.
Let me know if I could help further.

I am having severe difficulty swallowing this morning. Is there anything I can do at home to remedy this? I can drink fluids-but when I try to swallow my own saliva--it is almost impossible and my throat is starting to hurt badly.
Will it take weeks or months for all these symptoms (frequent loss of motor coordination, dizziness and severe anxiety) to subside? Will they subside?
Thank you for you previous answer. I will give you a great review--as I appreciate your help.

Brief Answer:
Physical therapy needed
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The swallowing difficulty could be related to your concussion and so are the rest of the mentioned symptoms. It will require physical therapy for these to subside. The symptoms may subside gradually.
You need to see a physical therapist at the earliest. He will also be able to address the issue of swallowing difficulty.
I do not think that some home remedy will help in this scenario. However, most of the intervention (as guided by the physical therapist) would be home-based.
