Half life of marijuana is 13 days
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
The half life of weed is about 10-13 days, so I recommend that you stop smoking for a month before you try to conceive. Smoking marijuna causes reduced birth weight and also growth restriction.
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for getting back
I am sorry for using medical terminology, I often forget not to.
Half life means the time taken for a particular drug to become half the amount taken in.
In simpler words, if you have smoked weed today, it will be half the amount of what you took on 13th day, and at 26th day it will be completely out of your system.

Does marijuna use (in the father only and before conception) cause reduced birth weight and also growth restriction if the mother does not smoke marijuna at all?
Brief Answer:
Follow up
Detailed Answer:
Hello
No human experiment or animal experiment has been done so far to know the probable birth defects when a male used weed during the time of conception. However lab experiments ( also called in vitro studies) have shown chromosomal changes in the fetus when either the father or the mother has smoked weed during the time of conception.
That is why I have recommended you to try conception after giving a month's break from weed.
