How Long Will Percocet Take To Show In Urine Test?
tricky....
Detailed Answer:
Oh, how long is about an hour maybe slightly less. The rest is basically impossible to give exact numbers but easy to say parameters. First, let us discuss half life. Percocet gets in over about an hour or so, then all of it is in. Then, the key thing is that ONLY the blood going thru the liver is cleansed of drug. So.... half of it gets run thru in a certain amount of time....then the amount in the body decreases by half, then the same amount of time later it goes to 1/4, then 1/8, then 1/16th....
Let us say the peak is 100 times the minimum detectable for one 5 mg tablet, the half life is about 3 hrs and the minimum detectable is 1.
3 hr its 50
6 hr its 25
9 hr 12.5
12 hr 6.25
15 hr 3
18 hr 1.6
21 0.8 and not detectable anymore
Let us then say someone took 30 mg... or 6 times... or 600 peak level
3 hr is 300
6 hr is 150
9 hr is 75
12 hr is 37.5
15 hr is 18.75
18 hr is about 10
21 hr is about 5
24 hr is about 2.5
27 hr is about 1.25
and 30 hrs to be undetectable....
since it is generally about 3 to 5 days to clear out percocet and be undetectable I'm not too far off with these estimates.
(it's actually more like 4 to 5 hr not 3 for the half life. more like 3 in a very young person, more like 6 if there is heart or liver failure).
Certainly a 5 milligram tablet will be detectable. If it is much less than that, I have to wonder how/why/what circumstance this could possibly occur in. It just will be detectable for slightly less time (30 goes to 15, then 7.5 then 4....3 half lives.... 12 hrs) about 12 hrs less time detectable for 5 millgram versus 30 milligram.
THIS IS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE oxycodone. If you take a drug like oxycontin that dissolves over 12 hrs, you need to add at LEAST the 12 hrs into the equation... it is 3 to five days with 12 to 24 MORE hrs for the pill to dissolve fully.
I just don't see how it can't
Detailed Answer:
ohhhhh.... unless they aren't testing for it!
the usual "narcotic" test does NOT detect oxycodone! Has to be a test dedicated specifically for oxycodone, otherwise it's built for heroin and does not reliably detect oxycodone.
