How Long Will It Take Before I Can Be Assured That I Don't Have COVID?
Question: As of last night, I have had a congested nose and slight headache and I'm concerned that I may have contracted COVID. My nostrils have been burning also starting tonight after I started using the nasal spray. Is this normal or should I be concerned? I got tested with a rapid test this morning and it was negative. I also had a PCR Test done but it will not be available for 2 to 3 days. I am vaccinated but not boostered. My last vaccination shot was March 8, 2022. I have started using Mucinex Severe Nasal Congestion Relief tonight in hope that I will be able to have no real issues breathing tonight from a having a stuffed-up nose. I wanted to know can I use Tylenol Sinus Severe Acetaminophen along with the Mucinex Spray or should I just use one or the other? Also, how long will it take before I can be assured that I don't have COVID? What else should I be doing now to protect myself and others? Thanks
Brief Answer:
Nasal congestion is not a typical symptom of COVID-19.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have read your question.
Congested nose is not a typical symptom of COVID-19, most common symptoms include fever, cough, tiredness,
loss of taste or smell.
In addition your rapid test for COVID-19 resulted negative.
In my opinion, you should use only one of the nasal decongestion solutions.
Monitor your body temperature for few days, maintain a good hygiene and wear a mask when in public.
Discuss with your Doctor these issues.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.

Do you think I need to get the booster shot or should I just wait? I feel awesome today but I'm still waiting on my results of my PCR test.
Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
I think the booster dose should be postponed.
If the PCR test will result negative, then you can have the booster done.
Hope this helps.
Take care.

My girlfriend is a nurse and she told me I should just wait to get the booster shot because there is supposed to be another vaccine or booster coming out shortly directly for Omicron. Are you aware of this and do you agree with this? I received my first dose of Pfizer on January 12, 2022 and caught covid on February 1, 2022 and received my second dose of Pfizer on March 2, 2022 so I'm wondering if should I get the booster or how much time I have before it's too late or ineffective? My PCR test came back today, and it is Negative, so I'm trying to decide if I should get the booster shot or not. Also, my doctor wants me to start Mounjaro Injections 2.5 weekly to help with losing weight and prediabetes. Do you have any knowledge of this medication? I just don't know what to do anymore!
Thanks
Thanks

Hello again.
I have read your new question.
Since the new vaccines aim to prevent new variants of COVID-19, I think you can wait for the new variant of the vaccine.
The boosters may be applied 6 months to one year after the last dose.
The treatment for prediabetes and loosing weight does not interfere with the vaccination.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
